A History Of Breaking

Our friends at Resistance Films invited us to create the opening sequence and motion graphics of their “B-Boys” web series, dedicated to the history of breakdancing as told by some of the world’s most revered b-boys.

 

We produced a minimalist design-inspired title sequence and created a cool branding package entirely based on lower case typography and three key colors, which included episode bumpers, billboards, character lower 3rds and all other information systems. Our motion sequences were successfully used to enhance narration of the series’ 10 episodes, using notably visuals by graffiti-artist & friend JayOne to illustrate some of the stories shared by interviewees.

 

Our overall branding execution was saluted as one of the most refreshing, dynamic and innovative packages of recent times on broadcasting network / digital platform Arte Creative, while the series itself was praised by the b-boying community, key media outlets and mainstream viewers alike.
