Nas: Time Is Illmatic
Following up to his previous collaborations with Nas on the "Classic (Better Than I've Ever Been)" music video and the "Never Stop. Never Settle." series of Hennessy films, filmmaker Thibaut de Longeville was invited to contribute to "Nas: Time Is Illmatic", the documentary dedicated to Nas' debut album, considered by many as the greatest hip-hop album of all time.
Thibaut and his camera crew provided exclusive footage of Nas performing live, intimate backstage atmosphere and snapshots of everyday life as a Hip-Hop icon captured while spending quality time with Nas on tour.
The footage ended up playing an important role in the film, as testified by the film's theatrical trailer - which prominently features Thibaut and his camera crew’s footage.
The feature film, directed by filmmakers One9 and Erik Parker, opened at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival and followed up with broadcasts on VH1, Netflix and more.
